By car

There is designated parking for visitors on the Shaftesbury Road site.

There is designated parking for visitors on the Shaftesbury Road site. If you are visiting the Pitt Building, Cambridge University Press Bookshop or The Learning Centre, parking is available in one of the multi-storey car parks identified by a parking symbol on the map. Alternatively, use the Park & Ride facilities identified by a parking symbol on the inset map (see above).

By bus/coach

Inter-city coach services arrive and depart from Drummer Street bus station in the city centre. From here you can take a local bus or a taxi to the Shaftesbury Road site, or you can walk (allow approximately 25 minutes). The Bookshop, The Learning Centre and The Pitt Building are in the city centre and only a short walk from the bus station.

By rail

There are frequent train services from London (King’s Cross and Liverpool Street stations). Journey times vary from 50 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes. For information about departures phone 08457 484950 or visit www.rail.co.uk. The Shaftesbury Road site is a 5-minute taxi ride from the station, or a 15-minute walk.

From Heathrow airport

There is a direct coach service to Cambridge, with a journey time of about 2 hours. Phone National Express on 08717 818181 or visit www.nationalexpress.com for information.

To travel to Cambridge by rail you will need to go into London first (by taxi, Underground, Heathrow Express or bus).

From Gatwick airport

There is a direct coach service to Cambridge, with a journey time of about 3 hours. Phone National Express on 08717 818181 or visit www.nationalexpress.com for information. To travel to Cambridge by rail you will need to go into London first (by Thameslink train or Gatwick Express).

From Stansted airport

There is a direct bus service to Cambridge, with a journey time of about 45 minutes. Phone National Express on 08717 818181 or visit www.nationalexpress.com for information.
